An Exercise in American Excess

50 Burgers in 50 Days
Day 13: Prime Burger House

Lucky number 13! Prime burger house was a lucky find to say the least, located inside the Grand Victoria Casino it is filled with an eclectic group people, the kind that hang out at a casino at noon on a Saturday.

The Prime Burger House has an extensive menu full of rich custom burgers, which is at first quite overwhelming. After carefully studying the menu for a while, I finally settled on the “Garlic Parmesan Butter Burger” , this burger was their standard 8 oz. (appears to be more) Burger house patty, topped with  Parmesan cheese, garlic Parmesan butter, batter-fried tomatoes, red onion, mixed greens, roasted garlic mayo, pretzel bun (I love pretzel buns), this was all then topped with a large Parmesan crisp.

When this burger came out it was a thing of beauty, it was big, very big. the patty looked moist and it was char grilled (they give you the option to have it char grilled or cooked on the flat top), the toppings were fresh and so flavorful. The level of garlic was dangerous, but if you are into garlic it shouldn’t scare you off. I cut the burger in half just so that it were a bit more manageable. Eating it was wonderful, all of the flavors and textures just came together so well, and the fried tomato was a great accent. The bun was outstanding, it ended up just being a flavor sponges for all the burger couldn’t contain.

All in all this was a great burger, and far to big for me to finish. I am really looking forward to visiting this place again and trying more of their menu options. Even if you aren’t a gambler I really do recommend you try your luck at “Prime Burger House” in the Grand Victoria Casino.

P.S. The shakes look amazing.
